- Recently some vicious person carried off my generic 28.8 and put
- a brand new USR Sporster 33.6 in its place.

- The modem in question is in Palo Alto and is used to make a connection
- from Palo Alto to San Francisco.

- While the generic 28.8 was on there I always got ~24000 to 26000
- type connections. With the Sportster 33.6 every single connection
- has been at 28.8.

- Now of course, the modem on the other end (SF) is still a generic
- 28.8, so I don't know what all this means. Just thought you might
- like to know.
