  10. Recently some vicious person carried off my generic 28.8 and put
  11. a brand new USR Sporster 33.6 in its place.

  13. The modem in question is in Palo Alto and is used to make a connection
  14. from Palo Alto to San Francisco.

  16. While the generic 28.8 was on there I always got ~24000 to 26000
  17. type connections.  With the Sportster 33.6 every single connection
  18. has been at 28.8.
  19.  
  20. Now of course, the modem on the other end (SF) is still a generic
  21. 28.8, so I don't know what all this means.  Just thought you might
  22. like to know.
